Organizers of the Timber Processing & Energy Expo announce that registration is now open online for the event to be held this October 15-17 at the Portland Exposition Center in Portland, Oregon. Hatton-Brown Expositions, LLC, an affiliate of Timber Processing, Panel World and Wood Bioenergy magazines, is conducting the event, which is held just off Interstate 5 between downtown Portland and Vancouver, Wash.
Held every other year, TP&EE hosted 162 exhibitor companies and their representatives, and more than 1,000 attendees from 115 forest products producing companies and 200 specific mill site operations in 2012. Visitors came from 30 U.S. states, five Canadian provinces and several overseas countries. The event caters to primary producers of lumber, panels and engineered wood products, as well as wood heating and energy operations.
Once again, the event will also include a Workshop Day, during which in 2012 more than 200 people participated in any of the 16 seminars that covered technologies in wood products production.
The 2012 TP&EE was the first Portland event to be hosted by Hatton-Brown and its affiliate publications. “Optimism was just coming back to the industry in 2012, and we expect even greater enthusiasm at our event this October,” says Rich Donnell, show director and editor-in-chief of Hatton-Brown Publishers, Inc. “If our recent capital expenditure surveys of wood products operations are accurate, there are a lot of projects and upgrades still in the works.”
Three extremely reasonable online registration options exist:
• A free 3-day pass to the exhibit hall
• A $15 pass for the 3 days that also includes a “beer and a brat” ticket
• A $75 charge for the workshop day on October 16, which includes entry to any of the presentations as well as entry for three days to the exhibit hall, and a “beer and brat” ticket
Registration at the event itself for entry to the exhibit hall will require a fee, so take advantage of this early registration opportunity.
